Hotel Recommendations London
Im looking for a nice hotel in or around London, ideally one that doesn't cost a fortune but is somewhat of a hidden gem, near (ish) to some decent evening bars, places to eat, somewhere like the Southbank or regents park. This isn't for Valentines, looking for early to mid March just as a birthday gift. Not the west ham hotel thanks all the same, been there already with work. Cheers

Ibis Styles Custom House Hotel, London, ExCel, E16

They have your standard budget rooms
and they have big studio apartments.
Its opposite Custom House DLR and across from the ExCel centre, you can get the cable car to the o2 for cinema and more bars etc

The hotel has a pub and restaurant and there is also yi-ban the Chinese restaurant near and you can get into central fast from there.

Off up to London for a couple of days next week... seeing War Horse on the Thursday night along with going to the London Dungeons so wanted to get some digs near Westminster... managed to get a 4 star off Hotwire for £90... off the top of me head I can't remember the name of it (on me PC at home)

Doubletree by Hilton Tower of London, hidden away by Fenchurch Street station and tower hill tube. Great views of obvious Tower of London and Tower Bridge and also has a roof top bar and restaurant

If I'm treating myself (& missus) we stay at Dukes in St. James's Place... don't go often as quite pricey but they do deals from time to time... you can take out a mortgage and have a Martini in their (famous) Martini bar, but be warned your legs won't work after two.

Also recently stayed at the Double Tree at Imperial Wharf / Chelsea Harbour which was very good value at £100 pn.
